Family Camp Fun

One more post to share about Family Camp! There are SO many fun things to do at Family Camp! The highlight of every year is a game for all ages called The Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge!!

It was freezing cold, windy and misting rain the day this game was played. You can see that didn’t stop the fun!

Blake, Grant, Addie and Lane were all picked for the green team!

I snuck out of the camper during Eliza’s nap to freeze to take some photos. Blake gave me a big smooch and then I was on the green team too!

Chad was on the purple team. I do not have a photo of him!

Many fun things to choose from each day! Soccer, basketball, ping pong, pool, foosball, horseback riding, tree climbing, trap shooting, kayaking, volleyball, a rock climbing wall…….the kids had a blast! Volleyball was a favorite for sure!

Kayla went on a terrifying kayak trip! Terrifying to her Mom who heard all about it when she returned! The girls had a great time with their friends! Lots of good fellowship!

Our chapel times were fantastic! So uplifting! Challenging! Encouraging! I think I am on a roll with these exclamation points!!

There were two versions of the sibling cooperation song this year. It amazes me to see them do this! Each child is playing two instruments! I cannot even rub my head and pat my stomach at the same time! Can you?!

A very special young man visited us a couple of nights!

There was this super funny illustration made – one guy not able to use his hands, the other not able to use his eyes – and they were making pancakes! I don’t think they were edible!

The last morning, the guys all sang to us ladies! It was really good! Blake missed it because he was back at the camper with some little sleepy heads.

We can’t wait until next year! I think Lane said it best when we returned home last year and he asked Kayla, “Kawa, how long do I have to be in this place until I can go back to Family Camp again?!” We always start counting the sleeps about six weeks before it is time for Family Camp to begin! It sounds so far away, but I am sure it will be here before we know it!!
