Why hello, Friday!
And hello, you all!
We have had a great week, have you?!?
It was SUPER nice to have a VERY rainy day on Wednesday, which meant we were blessed with Grant being home ALL day!
Eliza (and her Mama) love “big circle” days!
After school was done, the boys headed out to clean the barn.
What a good rainy-day, we-have-extra-muscle project!
They mucked stalls, cleaned the aisle, cleaned the shop, and cleaned the hay loft! Thanks, boys!
Yes, that is a door-less truck in our shop. That happened this summer, when a certain someone who I am married to hopped out of the truck and left the door open thinking the truck was in park, but it slipped gear and went into reverse. Lane, who was in the passenger seat, and the truck took a little ride backwards through the garage. Everyone was fine, praise the Lord – except the truck now no longer has a door!
Speaking of farm work, we had hay offered to us, so this past Sunday the boys went after all that hay. It took them three loads to get it all home.
We are keeping two of our foster horses over winter, and now we can feed them! Dyna and Shaggy have been here for 18 months now. We are SO glad they are staying with us until we move!
I found this photo on my phone from when we arrived home from Illinois two weeks ago. I don’t know who was more happy to see who – Grant or Clyde!!
We have some dear, dear friends in China right now!! They are bringing home their new son and brother, three year old Henry Clyde! Yes, I LOVE his name!!
I put this photo on Instagram stories, and I just want it here in my little scrapbook! Oh, the funny things they say!!
I made some apple nachos for snack one day. They were a hit!
A friend shared the link to this blog with me this week. I haven’t read it yet, but I can’t wait to look around there!
It has been cold, cold here this week. My boys have been bundling up for chores, if you consider footie pjs bundling up, and we even had our first hot cocoa!
Of course soup season is in full swing! I have made minestrone, creamy potato leek, tomato, split pea, easy chicken stew, and thai peanut already this season. Creamy potato leek is by far my favorite right now!
I make a gigantic salad about every two days. As I was chopping one the other day, it just struck me how creative our Creator is. Just look at the colors in a tossed salad! SO beautiful!
We had a great week of school, and lots of “projects” thrown in there as well. The littles still thrive on their “projects!” Play doh and coloring books have been a hit this week. And the doll house! I rotated toys from upstairs – which was the best idea EVER – because these two littles have just played and played and played so nicely!
This is one of my favorite resources for school ideas for the littles!
This week David and Kayla celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary David and Kay!!!
Time is flying!
Tate was asking ALL kinds of questions about that beautiful wedding day two years ago, so we did some reminiscing by looking at photos to show Tate all we could about that day.
I love looking back at our wedding photographer’s, Hannah’s, post about that day! Her post includes David and Kayla’s wedding vows that they wrote to each other. I sat here re-reading them with the tears flowing! Our God is SO good! David and Kayla are living out their promises to each other perfectly! If you would like to see Hannah’s post, go here.
And the video of that day?!? I cry every time I watch it! You can see it here.
Yahoo, it’s Friday!!!
I did all of my Friday cleaning chores last night, because today I plan to PLAY with my kiddos and the cutest grandbaby I ever did see!
Hope you all have a GREAT Friday too!!
Happy weekend, everyone!!
