The last weekend of August held two very important birthdays!!

We made plans because of that fact and it was a wonderful weekend!

First up, Tate, Eliza and I had planned to spend all day Saturday with Addie since Blake and Lane were out of town at a robotics competition.

And we did!

We went to a volleyball tournament that Chad was in, and then went to town to shop and eat lunch out.

Guess what was for lunch??

That’s right – noodles!

We had SO much fun together!!

I also had Addie pick some things out so I could buy them and wrap them for her birthday!!

When we got home late that afternoon, we started cooking and baking for our family day on Sunday.

We planned to celebrate Grant and Addie on Sunday too!

Addie requested Thai Peanut Soup and I also made rolls and fruit salad.

Addie also requested chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.

We were glad to oblige!!

Don’t worry, we made two cakes so there was enough for everyone!

Sunday was so nice!

We grabbed some photos after getting home from church!

I wish I would have grabbed one with Grant when he got here!

Kayla decorated with some kiddos help and it turned out so cute!

After we ate that delicious lunch it was time to open gifts and HAVE SOME CAKE!

What JOY to celebrate these two – who were for the first years of their lives called “the babies.”

They have always shared their birthday celebration, and it was very special that they still are!

Grant Evan and Addison Mae, we could not love you more!!

We are so thankful for you BOTH and for all that you bring to our family dynamics!!
