Our little man is seven.
Seven!
It seems like yesterday I was walking around the block sixteen times a day trying to convince Lane life would be better out of the womb.
Lane’s birth was a miracle. His shoulder got stuck during delivery, which is called shoulder dystocia. The Lord used a quick thinking nurse to save Lane’s life.
Life is so very precious. Lane, you are so precious!
At our little man’s request, we ate like kings and had steak, shrimp, mashed sweet potatoes, bacon and ranch cauliflower, and cranberry relish. Good choices, buddy!
Here is the sweet Daddy and Mommy-to-be. Glowing already, she is!
Of course there were gifts. When Lane opened his new remote control truck, he turned to me and excitedly said “Mom, you knew my heart!”
Addie Mae outdid herself again with an adorable and delicious cake!
Too bad these kiddos never have any fun, don’t you think?
Lane Stevan, you are one very special seven year old. We adore your determined spirit, your cuddly side, your visionary qualities, your cute expressions, and especially the funny things you say.
Happy Birthday, Lane Stevan!!!
*Wanting to fess up here….I tried to write a post about Eliza’s birthday many times….and just kept breaking down in tears. That’s why her birthday post was very short and almost wordless. I just couldn’t make it past the emotions of that day.
Really? Seven years ago? I remember you big and pregnant coming to see our new (old) house and wishing I lived closer. That little man is a gem, that’s for sure.
I remember that too!!!
So much fun!!
It was, it was!!
Happy Birthday, Lane! It looks like you had a wonderful day!
