Everyone was SO excited to meet baby Clyde!!
I think, though, that Tate has been the most excited! It has been TOO cute.
Here they are waiting for me to pick them up to take them to David and Kayla’s!
When I arrived, Eliza came running down the sidewalk yelling “MOOMMMM!!! It’s YOU!! You’re HERE!!” Be still my heart.
Tate was three steps behind. “MAMA!!!!!!!”
We tried to prepare Tate and Eliza to be gentle and quiet. They did a good job!
Eliza said “You got it out, Kayla!”
Everyone took a turn holding their new nephew!!! (Grant was at work!)
When I asked Tate “What do you think? Isn’t Clyde sweet?” he said “Perfect!!”
Blake held Clyde twice!
Then Blake pulled some papers out of his coat pocket that he printed off the internet.
Oh my husband.
There were four papers, each with a list on them.
Unique Grandfather names.
International Grandfather names.
Trendy Grandfather names.
Traditional Grandfather names.
He tells us that he highlighted his favorites for us to choose from. Yep.
He also said that he has a problem with how old the guys in the photos at the top of each page look. Um.
I know. The suspense is getting to you!
The highlighted choices were: Bobaloo, Grando, Grandude, Papster, PoPo……..
Do you really want to hear them all?
Guapo, TeePa, Dabbadoo, Baboo, Babaloo.
I think my husband needs more to do at work. (Love you so much, honey!!)
We were laughing so hard.
I think we are pushing for it to be Paw Paw. Sounds good, huh?!
I am going to be called NaiNai (奶奶) (sounds like nigh nigh), which is Chinese for Grandma!
No, Clyde is not Chinese, but China is near and dear to our hearts, of course!
Blake and the kids visit was about 10 minutes long for Kayla’s sake, but I know it will sustain them until they can see Clyde again!
All is quiet here at Clyde’s place now…..and I am here to tell you, being a NaiNai is beyond the greatest thing ever.
Sweet dreams, Baby Clyde. NaiNai loves you!!
*you all, thank you for sharing in our joy with us!! All the e-mails, texts, and comments are treasured! Thank you!
So sweet! Thank you for sharing your joy! Love Blake’s and David’s faces in the photo of Blake holding Clyde. We need a photo of NaiNai holding him, too!
