Well, hello there!
How is everyone doing?
We here in Wisconsin are GETTING BACK TO LIFE as it was before quarantine!
Kind of, actually. Things are reopening, but there are restrictions.
We are SO glad though!
We are looking forward to seeing what life will look like in the days ahead.
Let’s walk through some more quarantine life here at Twin Oaks with lots of snap shot photos of our days here!
I have been continuing on with school here, even though we usually stop at the beginning of May for the summer.
A post about school will be coming soon!
We have watched more shows and movies these last two months than probably years before that combined….but cold rainy weather and quarantine make it ok for now.
We streamed the show Fixer to Fabulous off of Amazon, which is the way we watch almost everything we choose to watch.
That means we never see commercials!
This is a great show!
Cold days bring out the games too!
We all enjoy playing games.
Sometimes those cold rainy days just call for a nap.
Ruby always joins me!
There have been a few warm, sunny, blue, beautiful days sprinkled here and there…and it keeps us outside the entire day!
Sunny days make quarantine life so easy!
My trio and I got our swim cubby area all ready for the opening of our pool!
We are hoping to finish getting the pool up this weekend, but the weather does not look promising for an outside project.
Soon, though, SOON!
It’s never too cold or rainy to see our favorites!
My precious grand babies!!
The boys built the babies new bunk beds for David and Kay one afternoon!
You can kind of see one of the finished beds in the second photo!
This guy got his driver’s license!
He had just met all of the requirements to take his driver test right before the shut down, but had not taken his test yet.
Last week our state offered a “no driver’s test” option for Chad to get his license!
Quarantine perks, I guess!
He took his first solo drive yesterday to run an errand for me.
All of these people, including me, still need to eat!
I have been going to the store once a week early in the morning to get grocery.
I wanted to document waiting in line to go into the store – I wish you could see in the photo that everyone is wearing masks.
There is a one cart, one family member as the shopper, per week rule at this store – and it is tricky!
I stuff that cart FULL!
I am happy to say The Pilates Studio is re-opening next week!!!!
My trainer (and the other owner of the studio) have done an amazing job of keeping their clients safely moving and working out during our time at home.
We have had live video Zoom calls up to four times a week where we work-out together.
I have had some back pain in the last few weeks, which is why I started Pilates all those years ago, but I am sure it can be resolved quickly!
Addie bought some weights for me to use during my workouts because I was using canned food for weights!
We celebrated that Chad got a new job!
He started at Nelson’s (a farm and garden center) last week and loves it!
This is my crew after we dropped Chad off at work!
Note to self: when watching the grand babies, count them often, and check when it is too quiet.
They are so cute though!
I was walking into the kitchen one morning and saw this!
Happened to have my phone in my hand and couldn’t resist the photo.
He always finds a way!!
His determination and “I can do anything” spirit is going to take him far!!
This quarantine life has allowed me to have dinner ready and all of the prep dishes done by 5 p.m.
We do not eat until 7 p.m.!
This will not be my reality as life starts back up, but I have enjoyed the less rushed time I have had in the kitchen over these last two months!
These two are GROWING!
Some of their check-ups have been cancelled, but we are assuming they will be rescheduled.
When they grew out of their pj’s they got for Christmas, we handed Eliza’s down to Tate and bought Eliza a larger size of the same ones.
Made for a cute photo opp – bed head and all!!
Kay and her crew gave me these beautiful tulips on Mother’s Day!
Aren’t they beautiful?
We really enjoyed them!
A little sunshine on our kitchen table!
Even though life is starting back up here for us – there are prayers, wondering thoughts, and emotions still going on for each of us in different ways at different times.
I am sure it is the same for you all.
Many of those we know and love have and are facing many challenges right now.
It squeezes my heart strings!
We are continuing in prayer and trusting the Lord for it all, as hard as that is some days!
I hope that this post finds you all well, counting your blessings the way I just did here, and trusting in the Lord for it all!
Blessings to you from us here at Twin Oaks!
