Precious Delainey

Please don’t forget to pray for precious little Delainey! Her surgery is tomorrow at 1 p.m.

Delainey 2

Here is a prayer request list from Delainey’s Dad and Mom-

We would love prayers for:
her to be satisfied with not eating after midnight and after her jello feast at 9am.
for safe travels for us and our family and friends who are helping us out with the other kiddos.
for an on time, safe, successful, drama-free surgery
for her doctors and nurses to be at their absolute best to take on this very important surgery.
for her recovery to be as painless and as quick as possible.
for peace in our hearts and minds tonight, tomorrow and through her recovery.
for strength, understanding and comfort for our little D while she kicks some booty in this step of her treatment plan.
for her lungs to be cancer free!

Please join us in prayer!

Our Little American

Look what came in the mail!!! Eliza’s Certificate of Citizenship!

IMG_3906

YEAH!! It makes our little American official!

IMG_3905

This photo was taken the day of Eliza’s medical check-up in China. Seeing it brought back a flood of memories. She looks SO little. She WAS SO SAD.

Now we can apply for Eliza’s Social Security number and do her re-adoption paperwork which will give us everything in English!

I would say our little American is quite happy about that!!

Fall Fun

What fun we had yesterday afternoon!!! After church the three bigs had plans to go on a hike with some friends, so Blake and I took Chad, Lane and Eliza to an apple orchard!

First we went to the grocery store to forage for our lunch, and then went to the food court at the mall to eat what we had bought!

We have not been to this particular apple orchard for many years. It has changed a lot! Many new fun things have been added that we did not know about!

IMG_3849

There were two huge John Deere tractors to climb on and sit in! The boys ran to this first!

There were hay rack rides up to the fields of apples. We never did this, but it looked fun! There were all kinds of fun things to climb on and in, and even a spinning apple you could sit in and spin!

The views were amazing…..just like the views from the ridge we call home!

There were animals to pet! Eliza liked this part! She was pretty unhappy the rest of the time…..but her crazy parents had her out and about during her nap time!

The sign said to find Charlie. We found Charlie!

Last, but not least, we climbed the hill to pick our own apples. The kids each pulled one from the trees to eat first. Blake bit into Eliza’s to start it for her and said “Sweetheart! These taste like Honey Crisp!” You are not allowed to pick the Honey Crisp! Someone left the Mama in charge of the map!

Here’s what we were looking for! Gala apples!

What a FUN day!! Eliza slept the whole way home, and her Mama might have closed her eyes too! (shhh! Don’t tell!) The boys have thanked us over and over for the fun day we had!

Hope you made some new memories this weekend too!!

Guess who goes after grocery these days?!! After last week’s overwhelming and disastrous first time going for grocery in a loonnnggg time, today I decided to get an early start on this big job!

084

I was still smiling on the way home and singing hymns at the top of my lungs! So glad for those country roads as I come back up the ridge so only the Lord can see and hear me!!!

The pantry and fridges are full, our Friday house cleaning is almost done, and this afternoon we are going to work on some wedding preparations with a super sweet friend who is coming over to help!

PRAISE GOD IT’S FRIDAY!!!!!
