Our Chinese New Year/Grant’s Day Party was a hit!

I have lots of photos to tell the story!

We all worked together to prepare the food and decorate.

Happy Grant’s Day, Grant!! We rejoice in the memory of standing in the Chicago International Airport watching those customs doors open and shut while we waited for our caseworker to bring you through them to us!! How has time gone SO quickly?

The excitement this little man had for our party was contagious!

But, it has been a rough couple of days for our little one.

017

It seems this celebration has triggered some memories for her…..

016

….she is talking in “baby talk” and stomping her little boots on the floor a lot while yelling “bu yao!” which is Chinese for “don’t want.”

After all these months she is speaking Chinese again.

The mind and the memory are powerful things.

Healing from a hard beginning takes time.

We are simply overjoyed to see how far our Eliza Claire has come.

And we also have joy in the journey of her healing.

What a great calling.

What a great party!

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I: send me.” Isaiah 6:8

What!! No comments yet???? Maybe it’s because no one recognizes that food except ME! Glad to see Grant is such a small picky eater!!! Go Grant! I was there to welcome you home! And it will forever be embedded in my heart…that’s why I feel you are part mine! We love you!
