Team Tate was on the road again yesterday for an appointment with Tate’s pediatric orthopedic surgeon!
We left bright and early yesterday morning.
We brought Tate’s side kick with us, because they are better together!!
They are joyful risers and cheerful travelers!
We took some DVD’s to make the long drive not seem so long.
First up was x-rays!
I think Tate had four different views total.
It’s been nine months since any imaging had been taken of our fearfully and wonderfully made cherub – the longest stretch we have had yet!
After x-rays were done, then we waited to be called to see the doctor.
I never realize how much this particular check-up affects me until it is over.
You probably already know how far above anything we’ve asked or thought the Lord has gone for our Tate Owen – and oh my, He has!
There is still some weight to these appointments – even try as I might to give it to the Lord to carry.
Tate has grown!
He grew about a half an inch over the last three months.
When we were told that, Tate said, “I thought I had growed when I was in the shower! The water is closer to my head!”
Funny boy.
Tate has officially made it on the American growth chart!
He is one percent for his height and three percent for his weight!
Tiny but mighty!
The surgeon took a long, long time to measure those new images that were taken yesterday.
It made Tate’s Mama and Daddy a bit nervous.
There is a chance of a degree of error in those measurements, so the doctor is taking that into consideration in the five degrees more that Tate’s curve measure yesterday.
(That half an inch that Tate grew is making his curve worse.)
After the surgeon told us that, he told us our favorite word – S T A B L E.
PRAISE THE LORD!!!
The surgeon would like to see Tate back in six months for new images and a re-check!
We were hoping for a year this time, but we will take “stable and see you in six months” for sure!
This means, unless something unexpected comes up, our next trip to Madison for a doctor’s appointment is in July!
It is getting easier and easier!
Rejoice with us for Tate’s health!
Rejoice with us for Eliza’s health too while you are at it!
Our two cherubs are SO PRECIOUS and it is THE BEST THING EVER to see them thriving!!!
Thank you, Jesus, for Tate and Eliza!!
